Yes dear readers, life keeps lifing. If you know me in real life you probably wonder which stolen hours are available for my commitment to writing The Keep Telling Me I Should Write My Memoir. Honestly, new chapters are being written on a daily basis in these overwhelmingly rich and full summer days. It is an intense time for me. How about you? I wish I knew.
If you feel as busy as I do, consider this your free pass, not another moment needs to be spent reading my writing this week. Finish harvesting your zucchini or dragonfruit, spend an extra half hour on the beach, write a script to talk to your clients about buyer representation agreements, throw a frisbee with your dog or your grandchild or your spouse. Go vote in a primary election.
If you were looking forward to something to read with a copy of coffee or matcha tea, here are some previous posts I can recommend. And if you keep meaning to hit that subscribe button to get my musings emailed, here is another chance.
Try a hidden trail to access new shores this week. Access to my entire writing archive is public and free. All categories listed at the top of my Substack Home Page.
On the note of “lifeʻs too short…” This week I attended not one but two Celebrations of Life, for two very different men with distinctive mustaches, a great love for Hawaiʻi, and uniquely memorable laughs. If you have lost someone recently or ….ever…. here is what I wrote a year ago about Grief.
For those of you who like me are in the middle of many conversations and meetings because how we work in the real estate field changes in two weeks time, here is what I wrote about Barbie, Horses, and Real Estate Commissions. Put on a pink Barbie blouse and kitten heels or a Ken cowboy hat, and journey on!
If you are a recent subscriber and want to catch up on my current train of writing on lessons I learned from horses so you arenʻt left a few steps behind and trotting to catch up next week when I return to the theme, this is a link to all the horse wisdom.
Of all those recent posts, this one about Finding Your Place in the Herd also resonated this week as I devoted time to several community events and causes. And if you are not sure you are doing what you are meant to be doing with your life, here is a related post about finding your calling or personal legend.
Because life is not only too short, it is also too long. Too long to live without a herd, without a community. Too long to live without feeling valued for your contributions. Too long to live without knowing that you matter.
You matter to me. You clicked subscribe or you clicked on a post on Facebook or LinkedIn and you read all the way to this sentence today.
Mahalo nui loa for being a part of my Substack herd. See you back in this riding - I mean ʻriting - ring in a week.
