As do you. And as many do. In part, I think that is so because you and I are very much about our commitment to higher ideals and to personal growth and to simple kindness, in addition to our desire to be professionally competent and inspire that in others. Wish everyone was as thoughtful as you are!
I think realtors have gotten caught up in the public angst that flows from how our national idolatry of “the economy“ has led us as a nation to economic policies that are bad for people. For people to be stably housed over a longish term is a positive value for people’s lives. But it’s not a positive value for “the economy“ because the economy needs money to move, which means it needs people to move house, with all the attendant life disruptions and new purchases to meet a new home’s layout.
So much to say about this…WHAT is good work? Does anyone claim to do BAD work? Trash collection - is that BAD work? How about sex workers? Is that BAD work?
Such good questions. My take? Trash collection clearly falls under the category of "honest work" that most of us would find distasteful to do, but glad that someone does it and so we would say it was good work. So much depth to your question about sex workers. One of the powerful books I read this year I mentioned in my February reflection On Invisibility. It is called Body Work: The Radical Power of Personal Narrative by Melissa Febos who writes without shame about working as a dominitrix. Maybe we need a whole essay on that subject alone.
You do good work and your work is good. Period.

This is a whole big topic in itself!
